I have an Associate's Degree in Business Administration. I have recently started completely over with college because my credits didn't transfer. I am in my 3rd semester at Texas A&M-Commerce for Business Administration.

Experience

While in high school I was one of about of about twelve students that led a study session group. This study session would bring in students with good grades to help out peers as well as younger students who were struggling in school. I am also currently a note taker for a deaf student in one of my classes. Although I am only asked to simply write notes and forward them to her, we have online study sessions and sometimes we meet with her interpreter and have a group study session.

I am a non-traditional college student in the sense that I am a 24 year old mother of two. Although I am a non-traditional student, I have remained active in school since high school graduation. I graduated from my previously college with a 4.0 GPA. I take pride in all of my work. While in high school I rarely had to study to receive good grades, I have learned a great deal in college about study skills and allowing time to get projects and assignments completed. I love to scrapbook and take photos. I also do many activities on the computer. My husband owns his business and has left me in charge of all of the business/office area of the company. While working in the office I perform tasks such as website updating, AP/AR, spreadsheets, advertising, maintaining schedule, responding to emails, faxing, filing, answering phone calls, and much more. These are tasks that must be done in order for the business to run smoothly, and the fact that I can perform these tasks saves us from having to hire an assistant, but I do enjoy doing it.
